Postpals

These are the cards i sent to my two postpals Alice and Mollie.Postpals is a very worthy cause, just by writing to or sending small gifts to these sick children puts a smile on their faces.

Fergie

I just had to show you this picture off my dog Fergie.She had spent the whole day getting in the way while my garden was dug up ready for turf to be laid.She chased all the creepy crawlies and eat them,Yuk.Once the turf was laid she lied on the grass,looking out for more creepy crawlies.

Sweet treat cup

This card i made using fox and friends stamp set and a sweet treat cup.I sorted through my blues and clear beads for the ocean.I haven't put a greeting on yet as i haven't made my mind up as to who i am giving it to.Now i must get back to my studying.

Kissing with a twist

This is the card i made after having a dream about it.Now how sad is that! I used the kissing technique with a twist on the butterflies. Back to more studying.

Autumn splendor

I have been busy studying for most of the day,so to unwind i made a few cards.This is one of them,i used stamp sets Autumn splendor and Lovely as a tree.I used chocolate chip,real red and creamy caramel inksand close to choco card.

Fresh cuts

This is the card we made at my monthly Stampin club.I used Pixie pink card and ink,Fresh cuts and Flight of the butterfly stamp sets.I have been busy sorting all my craft stuff out and trying to down size.I have managed to part with some items which has pleased my other half.

Abbottsbury Swannery

We visited Abbottsbury Swannery,it was very interesting to find out all that the Swannery do to protect the swans.We watched them being feed,the swans must know when it is feeding time as just before 12 o/clock there were hundreds of swans gathering on the lagoon.We were amazed to find out a male swan weights 11 kilos.We ventured into the swan maze,my wonderful partner got us to the middle where there was a bamboo egg and got us out again.

Mad squirrel

This is the mad squirrel that came charging across the car park at me,the photo is not too clear as he was going at great speed.I was hoping to take a cute photo of a squirrel while sitting in the car.Once i realised it was charging straight at us it was a mad panic to get the windows up.Once the window was up the squirrel stopped running and just looked at us and went behind the car.Tomorrow i will post photos of Abboutbury Swannery.

Weymouth

I have just returned from a week camping in Weymouth.I had a lovely time,the weather was hot and i have a lovely suntan.These are the views from the campsite.The owner breeds race horses so we got to stroke them.There was also a farm walk which took you down to the sea,which was very nice going down hill but was a killer coming back up the other side,i had to stop several times to catch my breath,we only did the whole circuit once.We visited the Terracotta warriors exhibit,which was very interesting.We also visited Abbotsbury swannery and i nearly got attacked by a squirrel.It could only happen to me!I will post a photo tomorrow of the squirrel.

Green fingers

This is my first cucumber i have grown,i am so pleased with myself.I also have carrots growing,potatoes and french beans.My strawberries were so delicious.
I made these lolly sticks with the monkey from the stamp set Fox and Friends.I made them for the song '10 little monkeys jumping on the bed'.

Team meeting

Yesterday was my quarterly team meeting  at Soberton with Amanda.What a great day i had lots of laughs and i got to make some great projects.Each quarterly team meeting Amanda sets us a challenge and gives us an item.At our last meeting she gave us a glass,this is my creation.I was so surprised to receive  the runner up prize of the lovely Soft Suede polka dot ribbon.

Farm trip

I had a lovely day at the farm yesterday.I couldn't resist taking a photo of this funny looking chicken.We watched sheep racing, unfortunately my group didn't have the winning numbered sheep.We queued  for ages for a tractor ride and no cows charging this year.

Flower box

Last night was my monthly stampin club,this is what we made.We used shimmer paint on the flower,the extra large two step bird punch for the leaves and the tiny tags stamp set and jewelry punch for the tag.I'm going on a farm trip tomorrow.On last years trip my group got charged by a cow while we were on the tractor ride. I wonder what will happen this year.

postpals

This is a card i have made my post pals Alice and Mollie.Alice has Hodgkin's disease. Post pals helps put a smile on  sick children's faces,by people sending cards,letters or gifts.I try to write monthly telling them what i have been up to and Alice loves dogs so i tell her about my Fergie (who is a rascal).I made the same card for  Mollie she has Fetal warfarin syndrome.Many celebrities support Post Pals,by sending a card you brighten up a sick child's life,please click on the link and have a look. For the card i used Stampin Up watercolours to colour the image.I love painting in watercolour.Another busy week ahead again.Monthly stampin club,class assembly and a farm trip.

Slider box

I  have been poorly for nearly a week  now.I made this Slider box while i was feeling sorry for myself.I have used the Vintage Vogue stamp set and perfect plum ink pad.This box is ideal for the Stampin Up love notes they  fit in the box nicely.

Birthday boy

 Happy birthday to my brother.I made this card using the Loads of Love stamp set and the loads of love accesories stamp set.Hope you have a lovely birthday big brother.

Birthday girl

Happy birthday to me, Shirley and Bethan.We all share are birthday with the Queen.This is the card i made for Shirley (my adopted mum) who emigrated to South Africa,  i miss her dearly. I used the Vintage Vogue stamp set. Happy 6th birthday Bethan i hope you have a lovely time bowling.

Post it holder

Wenesday night was my monthly Stampin Up meeting.We had a lovely evening and lots of laughs,which is just what i need after my leg waxing experience on Tuesday.Once again i was a guinea pig for my daughters waxing assessment.I don't think i can describe how much pain i experienced.Torture, is one of the words that came to mind,i had tears rolling down my face and wanted to scream out loud,but couldn't in case daughter failed,so when her tutor came in to assess i had to smile and say how much i was enjoying it and say i had tears from Hay fever.On the positive, daughter passed assessment and now no more waxing YIPPEE.I'm having an eyelash perm next week,that shouldn't be painful. This is one of the projects we made on Wednesday it's a post it holder.

Touch of Nature

I had a wonderful meal  last night.My mission this weekend was to design a card without using the stamp set Vintage Vogue or Fox and friends.This is what i can up with,i used the stamp set called Touch of Nature and very vanilla card stock and chocolate chip ink.I am very proud of myself,after visiting the Eden project i decided to have a  go and  grow my own veg.So far i have potatoes,cucumbers,tomatoes, mint and strawberries growing.I just had to show you my strawberries,i can't wait to eat them.I have planted French beans and carrots but they haven't  started to grow yet.

Cute cow

Today is my mums birthday and this is the card i made for her.Those of you who know my mum will know that this card is just perfect for her.It will be my birthday next Saturday, oh another year older and getting even closer to the big 50.

pairs game

I can't wait until Saturday my wonderful partner is taking me out for dinner,i don't know where he is taking me.Today i made this  pairs game that i saw in Making Gifts magazine.I chose a patterned paper on one side that can be used as a second game to piece the pieces together,next time i will chose an easier pattern it took me ages to match them up for the photo.On the other side i have stamped 2 of every thing for the pairs game.
I have a build up of wax in my right ear and that is what is causing me to keep falling over.I have to put olive oil in my ear for a week and if that doesn't work i will have to have the ear syringed.Yuk

Spinner card

This is the card we made at my monthly Stampin club. I have used the Whisper white craft stampin pad on chocolate chip card with theVintage vogue stamp set and the rocking and rolling technique for the flowers.I had a wonderful evening with a lovely group of ladies.
I have had 2 falls this week,i don't know how i did it,i just fell all i can tell you is i was sober at the time.

Sweet Treat Cups

I used the Sweet Treat cups from the mini catalogue to make these cards.I have used the square scallop punch to make the basket for the balloon card.I have had a lovely evening tonight at my craft class making a never ending card.I can't wait to use Stampin Up products on my next creation.

Bird on a Branch

What a wonderful week i have had,firstly i won a competition then my daughter got her job she was hoping to get.I got full funding for my NVQ3 course and there were 2 other bits of good news i received.I can't tell you at the moment,so look out for the future announcement.I also received some lovely flowers from a  parent to say thank you for clearing up after their son was sick everywhere,what a lovely gesture.I made this card using the Bird on a Branch stamp set and yo yo yellow ink and card stock and basic black card stock.I am going out for a meal tonight to celebrate all our good news.

Watercolour

Look what i made at my class last night.I must say I'm quiet impressed.After last weeks class my heart wasn't really in going but i thoroughly enjoyed my self and very pleased with the results.The second watercolour i did had something missing so when i got home i added the bird from the stamp set Bird on a Branch.My partner doesn't believe me that i made them.

Bagalope

Where has today gone,it has flown by.Today in after school craft club,we made a bag from an envelope and a money box.Not only do we craft but we also have a good chit chat.Tonight I'm going to another craft evening at the local learning centre.Last week  i could have done with a stamp set and ink pad.in my bag.

Quarterly Team meeting

I am so looking forward to this coming week.My partner is going to be home all week,it will be great to spend some quality time together and plan for the future.Yesterday was our Stampin Up quarterly team meeting.This was my swap,i used the Season of joy and Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and a hat template.We were given a challenge by Amanda to decorate a note book this was my effort.I have used the lovely Giraffe from Fox and Friends and of course Vintage Vogue.I had a lovely day and made some lovely cards and projects.

Easter workshop

I have finally received photos of the Easter Workshop i ran.It was a lovely day i received very good feedback EXCELLENT from everyone who attended.One of these little boys was counting down 3 weeks before, which is a long time when you are this age.He also would like me to go for a sleepover at his house.After such a hectic week the thought of chilling out playing Dinosaurs all day could be appealing.

So Swirly

This is my card i made for the Shoe Box Swap.I have used the So Swirly wheel,pixie Pink ink and Flight of the Butterfly stamp set.I also used this design for thank you cards for Shirley's day centre and care home.I had a lovely evening with a wonderful group of ladies and made some wonderful cards as you can see.

Book Mark

What a busy week so far,this is what we made at my after school craft club on Monday.I have used the lovely monkey from the stamp set Fox and Friends.After club i then went to an evening class to make a Waterfall card.On Tuesday i had a facial by my daughters friend to help her pass her assessments.It was lovely.I then had a crafting evening with a lovely lady and as a very good friend of mine would say we had a 'Stitch and Bitch'.It's amazing how much better you feel afterwards.Yesterday was our monthly Stampin Up team meeting so another very late night.This month was a  shoe box swap.A shoe box swap is where we each make a card and then supply all the materials for everyone to make it.It was a lovely evening and great fun,i made some lovely cards.I will post them tomorrow,the camera has a flat battery. Thank you Elaine for making me laugh.

Magic Card

This magic card took me several attempts to make but i got there in the end.I have used the Vintage Vogue and Fox and Friends stamp set.As you pull the insert up it reveals a surprise.i have used close to coco,very vanilla card stock,a window sheet.yo-yo yellow,Green Galore, and chocolate chip ink.
